While the Quicken 2013 System Requirements shows 1 GB or higher for memory nonetheless it will install with only 512 MB and the first time it's run although it will say "Your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements. Quicken required 1 GB of RAM to run properly." there is a "Don't show this again." check box that one can check and the program will run okay. Obviously the larger the database gets the more RAM will be used and paging will occur and it will respond slower however it will still run.
The bottom line is the pissedfish's install problem has nothing to do with whether or not the default 512 MB RAM is set or if reset to 1 GB!
