I have one VM, what ever task i perform on the same, everytime it gives another task already in progress, then i have to restart esx management service then i can perfrom only one task i.e. disconnect from a network or increase memory), following r the VM details.
VM: Harrware Verion 4
Guest OS : SLES SP11
all other vms on same host r working fine, i m planning to migrate this vm to other esx host, following is the plan
1) Linux team will gracefully shutdown the vm1
2) i will create new VM2 on same host and will map vm1 hdds
3) then i will take clone of VM2 as VM1 on other esx host
4) install latest vmware tools and upgrade hardware version to 7
5) then poweron the vm.
will above plan work?? or will i get same error.wil provide u the vm log details shortly.
